Performance & Testing

Fragrance behaves differently in every medium. Performance depends on your wax or base, fragrance load, wick or reed, formula, cure time, and processing temperature. We make no guarantee of scent throw, cure behavior, clarity, stability, or performance in any specific application.

Things to expect and test for, depending on what you make:

  • Candles and wax melts: cold throw and hot throw vary by wax, load, wick, and cure. Some fragrances need a longer cure or a different wick series.
  • Cold process soap: may accelerate trace, rice, seize, or discolor. Test at small batch first, always.
  • Diffusers and room sprays: solubility and clarity vary by base. Some fragrances cloud, separate, or wick slowly.
  • Lotions, body products, and bath: verify emulsion stability and confirm the use rate for your category.
  • Incense, sachets, and home care: carrier and substrate strongly affect throw and longevity.

Fragrances containing vanillin will darken wax, soap, diffuser liquid, and finished product over time. Fragrances containing natural materials may vary slightly in color and character between batches. Neither is a defect. Test a small batch in your own system before committing to production.

Use Rates & Compliance

The rates on this page and on the bottle are IFRA maximums for the 51st amendment, rounded down. They are compliance ceilings, not performance recommendations, and most applications perform well below them. This fragrance is approved for use across most IFRA categories. Rates for categories not shown here appear on the IFRA certificate.

You are responsible for confirming that your finished product complies with IFRA standards for its category, and with any labeling, allergen disclosure, or safety assessment requirements that apply where you sell. Requirements differ by country, particularly for products applied to skin. If you sell outside the United States, review your local rules before formulating.
